Beans Make me Slim
Beans and lentils contain an extract that blocks the enzyme alpha amylase which is the enzyme needed to break down amylase-a complex carbohydrate. So the carbohydrates digested should pass through your digestive tract without turning to fat. Beans are packed with gut-healthy fiber which helps to control hunger and weight. They are also a high quality source of protein. I add these to my blended soups, to chili and to salads.

For vitamins I am taking: apple cider vinegar, omega 3, digestive enzymes, L'arginine, Dhea, L'Glutamine, Lysine, multi vitamin & vitamin D3.

Mushrooms make me Slim
Mushrooms have been shown by researchers to reduce inflammation. These little fluff balls are packed with vitamins and minerals.
I received this awesome tip from Dr. Oz's Real Age Newsletter about mushrooms. If you replace half of your meat in ground meat recipes with mushrooms you can barely tell the difference in the flavoring. I usually cut my mushrooms into small chunks and fry them for a few minutes before adding them to the raw meat. I use this method for hamburgers, chili, tacos & spaghetti & meatballs. Not only do I save a ton of calories but I also save money and the environment. A win, win, win scenario. :)
The reishi mushroom has been shown to reduce blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, aid in sleeping and increase energy levels. I have not found this mushroom in a fresh variety yet but I have found a dried tea which contains it as an ingredient and I am drinking this tea daily. I believe you can purchase it in pill form and liquid form as well.

Maca makes me Slim
Maca is a Peruvian root powder chock full of vitamins and minerals. It has been touted as improving stress levels and fighting depression. It is also a libido stimulant and will activate the thyroid glands. It has been known to balance hormone levels and it promotes the use of glucose for energy instead of storing it in your fat cells.
I purchased maca powder at my local health food store which I add to my protein and green shakes. I also purchased the maca chocolate bar for times when I really have a strong craving for chocolate; I just keep it in the freezer.

Colors affect my Weightloss
Scientists have shown that each individual color sends a message to our brain and impacts our moods in different ways.
1. Red- Stimulates action, so if you want to be a go-getter, wear red. But beware as red also stimulates the appetite, so keep it out of the dining room.
2. Yellow- promotes optimism.
3. Orange- stimulates action.
4. Green- is relaxing and calming, however you should not paint your bathroom green as the reflection on your skin will give your subconscious mind the incorrect thought that you are sick.
5. Blue- is a calming color and can lower hunger cravings.
6. Purple- balances the mind.
7. Black- is a very strong, confident color. Black or blue square plates in the kitchen are said to promote fullness faster.
